He makes a strong distinction between educationist-run schools and businessmanled schools, and also personally supports the the Beti Padao, Beti Bachao Yojana as well as Tata Memorial’s Impacct Foundation that focuses on children's cancer treatment for the poor.

He has recently been at the forefront of relief efforts for the poorest of the poor affected by the Covid lockdown across India; providing 1000s of kilograms of food grain as well as started kitchens to supply over 1200 meals per day to the needy.
